Hajar Discussed Living and Humanitarian Issues with Bishop Daher

The Patriarchal Administrator of the Diocese of Baalbek for the Melkite Catholics, Bishop Edouard Georges Daher, received the Minister of Social Affairs in the caretaker government, Hector Hajar, at the episcopal residence in Baalbek, in the presence of the head of the Development Services Center in Baalbek, Sabreen Al-Luqis, the legal representative of the diocese, lawyer Jad Rizq, Dr. Asaad Qara'a, George Salameh, and Eli Salameh. Daher praised "Minister Hajar's efforts and initiatives, and the dynamic work he is doing in all Lebanese regions, without exception or discrimination, as he always carries Baalbek in his heart." For his part, Hajar thanked Daher for the warm reception, affirming that "the diocese is a home that opens its doors to welcome everyone, while serving the needs and interests of the people." They discussed "humanitarian and living matters, in light of the difficult circumstances that Lebanon and the entire region are going through." Hajar, accompanied by Bishop Daher, toured the episcopal residence and stopped in front of the portraits of the bishops who have served the diocese.
