Minister of Education in the caretaker government, Abbas Halabi, stated that "there was an objection only to the mathematics competition during the official exams." He explained in an interview with MTV that the cancellation of the "Brevet" was not a personal blow to him, noting that "grading of the terminal exams will start on Monday." Regarding the second round of official exams, Halabi said, "The session will be organized under a decree, and I invite students not to fear their grades as the grading criteria have not yet been established." Halabi indicated that "for the intermediate certificate replacement, we had several options: either rely on last year's marks, conduct a national test, or hold an entrance exam after providing certificates. We studied these options with the relevant parties and concluded that we have no choice but to issue certification statements, which allow the holder to advance to the next stage." He also extended greetings to "the educational staff who responded to us regarding the official exams and during this time when the country is struggling to meet any obligations, the Ministry of Education has succeeded in completing the national and educational requirements."
