The Russian news agency reported Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov saying today, Friday, that "Russian President Vladimir Putin will discuss the conflict in Ukraine with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan during his scheduled visit to Turkey." The agency also quoted Peskov as saying that "Turkey is facing unprecedented pressure from the United States and Britain regarding its relations with Russia, but Ankara maintains its independence." Peskov declined to specify the exact date of Putin's visit. A Turkish official had mentioned to Reuters this week that the visit will take place on February 12.
