A powerful snowstorm has hit the European part of Russia, reaching the capital Moscow and its region. Meteorological experts predict snowfall of up to half a meter, according to the "Novosti" agency. German meteorologists have named the cyclone "Vania." Snowfall levels not seen in Moscow for 63 years are expected. Meteorologists also anticipate the formation of snowdrifts reaching half a meter today. The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations has issued a warning for heavy snowfall in Moscow until 12:00 today, along with increasing southeast winds with gusts of up to 17 meters/second, accompanied by storms and snowdrifts in some areas.
