The media office of the Minister of Social Affairs in the caretaker government, Hector Hajjar, announced that "in light of the recent security developments and the repercussions of the Israeli aggression on southern Lebanon, the Minister of Social Affairs has formed an emergency cell within the ministry to monitor all field developments and take necessary precautionary and reactive measures among the ministry’s departments and sections to support affected citizens and provide the necessary assistance. This cell will operate in coordination with the National Disaster and Crisis Management Operations Coordination Committee (Decision No. 43/2023) in the Presidency of the Council of Ministers."
