The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division, issued the following statement today, Thursday: "As part of the ongoing efforts by the Internal Security Forces to curb drug trafficking and distribution in various Lebanese regions, the South Investigative Unit received information about the discovery of a large quantity of substances believed to be hashish on the Dier Antaar highway. A total of 21 kg of hashish was seized on the Dier Antaar highway by the South Investigative Unit. As a result of the investigation, it was confirmed that the substances found were approximately 21 kg of hashish. After expanding the search area, additional unidentified brown narcotics were discovered in the same location the following day. The seized items were handed over to the relevant authorities for further investigation under judicial directive."
