Journalist and Writer Jihad Qalaaji Passes Away

Journalist and writer Jihad Qalaaji has passed away, the son of the prominent Arab journalist Qudri Qalaaji and the father of expatriate journalist Andi-Qudri Qalaaji. The deceased worked for half a century in print journalism and media across several Arab countries and Lebanon, known for his analytical articles and investigative reports that showcased his professionalism and credibility. His funeral prayers will be held tomorrow afternoon, Monday, at Al-Khashoggi Mosque, and he will be laid to rest at the Bashoura cemetery. Condolences will be accepted before and after the burial, as well as on Tuesday, the 19th of this month, at Al-Khashoggi Mosque in the Khalil Al-Hijri Hall from 2 PM until 7 PM. Joseph Al-Qassifi, head of the Journalists' Syndicate, reached out to the family of the deceased to offer his condolences, describing his passing as "a loss for Arab journalism, where he was a key contributor to its revival and development, and one of its prominent writers."
