The Speaker of the House, Nabih Berri, revealed that he will invite the parliament to meet in the coming two days to discuss the President's message "according to the proper procedures." However, he stated that "the government is resigned under Article (69) of the Constitution, which enumerates the cases that consider the government resigned, including parliamentary elections," pointing out that this matter "does not require a decision." Regarding the implications of the current situation on Lebanon, Berri said in an interview with "Asharq Al-Awsat" that the focus of the next phase is "the election of a President of the Republic, as the vacancy is unacceptable," reiterating his intention to explore the possibility of initiating a dialogue on the matter.
