As part of the diligent efforts by the Information Branch of the Internal Security Forces to pursue escaped prisoners from detention facilities and prisons, several detainees escaped from Sour Prison on April 20, 2023. The branch intensified its search and surveillance operations to locate their hiding places and work on their apprehension.
Through field monitoring conducted by the specialized units in the branch and increased patrols to identify potential hiding spots, they were able to locate one escapee in the town of Arzoun - Sour, identified as M. N. (born in 1996, Lebanese).
After careful observation and surveillance, one of the patrols managed to arrest him in a well-coordinated ambush in the mentioned town. Legal proceedings were carried out against him, and he was referred to the relevant authority in accordance with the directives of the competent judiciary.
