Title: Weapons Seized at Tripoli Port and Arrests in Akkar

The Army Command - Directorate of Guidance issued a statement today, Wednesday, stating: "On November 7, 2023, a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate seized within the premises of Tripoli Port, during an inspection of a truck coming from Turkey aboard one of the cargo ships loaded with goods and clothing parcels, parts belonging to dismantled M4 military rifles inside one of the parcels. The owner of the mentioned truck, citizen (A.D.), was arrested. In the area of Bbaneen - Akkar, a patrol from the directorate arrested citizen (M.N.) for trafficking in military weapons, and seized military weapons, ammunition, and a quantity of drugs from his home and car. The seized items have been handed over, and investigations with the detainees have begun under the supervision of the competent judiciary."
