Al-Hakim Calls on the International Community to Take Responsibility for Gaza

The head of the National State Forces Coalition, Ammar al-Hakim, called on the international community today, Wednesday, to take responsibility for what is happening in Gaza. In a statement, al-Hakim mentioned, "We met this morning with the French ambassador, Eric Chevalier, and emphasized the importance of strengthening relations between Iraq and France and investing in the historical connections between the two countries." He also urged for "enhancing commonalities, developing them, and building upon them." According to the statement, al-Hakim issued a "call to the international community to take responsibility for what is happening in Gaza, as well as to call for a ceasefire and provide aid, and to uphold whatever is left of human values and conscience regarding the systematic killing of children, women, and the unarmed civilian population." He added, "We discussed the recent local elections, highlighting their constitutional importance and role in enhancing stability and achieving sustainable development."
