Japan's NHK Broadcasting Corporation reported today that local police stated four people appeared to be stabbed on a train while it was stopped at Akihabara Station in Tokyo.
East Japan Railway Company announced that train services on the Yamanote Line, one of the busiest routes in Tokyo, were suspended due to a "problem on board" at Akihabara Station around 1:56 PM GMT today.
According to NHK, there have been reports of a woman carrying a knife on the train at Akihabara Station. The report added that the person believed to be carrying the knife has been arrested, and the Tokyo Metropolitan Police is investigating.
