The Fourth Batch of Hostages: Israel Receives a List of 11 Names

Israeli media reported that Israel has received a list of names for the fourth and final batch of Israeli hostages that Hamas is set to release on Monday, totaling 11 individuals. The Israeli Prison Service released 39 Palestinian prisoners on Sunday night as part of the third phase of the exchange deal, all of whom are children, with one returning to the Gaza Strip. The temporary ceasefire between Hamas and Israel entered its fourth and final day, as efforts to extend it continue.

In related news, Israel proposed an extension of the ceasefire in exchange for Hamas releasing an additional 10 hostages each day. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated on Sunday that he informed U.S. President Joe Biden that Israel would resume its campaign in Gaza with full force once the temporary ceasefire ends. Netanyahu added that he would welcome an extension of the ceasefire if it facilitated the release of 10 additional hostages each day, as stipulated in the original agreement mediated by Qatar, according to Reuters. The White House reported that "Biden and Netanyahu agreed in a phone call to continue working to secure the release of all hostages."
