U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken indicated on Wednesday that he will work with the Israelis during his upcoming visit to Israel "to determine whether it is possible to extend the temporary ceasefire, which allowed for the release of hostages held by Hamas." During a press conference in Brussels, following a NATO meeting, Blinken stated: "The continuation of the ceasefire would mean the release of more hostages and the entry of more aid into Gaza." He added, "Clearly this is something we want. I believe it is something Israel wants as well."
On another note, Blinken pointed out that "NATO members do not feel fatigue" when it comes to supporting Ukraine. He reiterated support for Ukraine and noted that NATO allies agree on this stance, and that he has also heard ongoing support for Ukraine in the U.S. Congress in both chambers.
