The Kremlin warned the West today, Friday, that it has a list of American, European, and other assets that will be seized if the leaders of the G7 decide to confiscate $300 billion from the frozen Russian central bank assets. Two sources with knowledge of the matter and a British official stated on Thursday that G7 leaders will discuss a new legal theory allowing the confiscation of frozen Russian assets when they meet in February. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed that any such move by the West would constitute "theft," violate international law, and undermine reserve currencies, the international financial system, and the global economy.
