Meloni Falls Victim to Phone Prank

The office of Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni confirmed that she received a prank phone call from a "scammer" impersonating the chairman of the African Union Commission. During the call, dated September 18, which lasted about 13 minutes, Meloni mentioned that she had some thoughts on how to "find a way out of the crisis." This occurred during a hoax executed by Russian pranksters Vovan (Vladimir Kuznetsov) and Lexus (Alexei Stolyarov), who presented themselves as high-ranking African officials and published the conversation on their official channel on the Telegram app.
