The broadcaster added that flights have been canceled from Hoskins Airport on the island, noting that the volcano continues to erupt. Papua New Guinea is located on the Pacific Ring of Fire, a horseshoe-shaped strip of volcanoes and fault lines surrounding the edges of the ocean.
