China Opposes U.S. Sanctions on Chinese Entities

A spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Commerce stated today, Monday, that "the ministry opposes the new U.S. sanctions on entities from China related to Iran," considering that "the United States should stop its unreasonable repression of Chinese companies and individuals." The spokesperson, in response to a journalist's question about the sanctions, said: "The actions of the United States are not based on facts, lack careful consideration, and harm the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese companies and individuals. China will take all necessary measures to protect the legitimate rights of Chinese companies and individuals."
