Ministry of Health Completes Readiness and Emergency Preparedness

The specialized medical teams in the Ministry of Health have been following up on the implementation of the Ministry of Public Health's plan to enhance the readiness of the health sector in anticipation of developments regarding an expanded Israeli aggression in the south. Through the Public Health Emergency Operations Center, training for medical and nursing staff in public and private hospitals has been conducted in collaboration with international and local partners in the health sector, represented by the World Health Organization, the International Committee of the Red Cross, Médecins Sans Frontières, the Lebanese Red Cross, the Medical Association, the Nurses Syndicate, and the Lebanese Emergency Medicine Association. By Thursday, November 23, the training encompassed 63 hospitals and over 1,100 medical personnel. The Ministry's teams and partners continue their training efforts for hospitals across all Lebanese territories.
