Assassination of a Hamas Official in Syria

Israeli army spokesman Avichai Adraee announced that the Israeli army killed Hamas official Hassan Akasha today, Monday, in Syria. Adraee indicated that the target in Beit Jann was "the person responsible for launching Hamas rockets from Syria into Israeli territory." He continued: "Since the beginning of the war, Hassan has been directing Hamas-affiliated terrorist groups that launched rockets from Syria toward Israel. We will not allow terrorism from Syrian territory, and they are responsible for any actions that come from their lands. We will continue to act against any threat."
