General Al-Sayyid: The External Deal Hasn't Yet Matured

Commenting on the visit of the French president's special representative, Jean-Yves Le Drian, and the conclusion of his trip to Beirut, MP General Jamil Al-Sayyid wrote on his page on "X" (formerly Twitter) that the outcome of the French-Saudi maneuvers with lawmakers regarding the presidential election is for them to go and agree amongst themselves to elect a president. He continued, "As long as everyone knows in advance that no one will agree with anyone in Lebanon, and as long as everyone knows in advance that if you want to complicate any problem, just hand it over to the politicians here, it means that the external deal has not yet matured for electing a president."
