Italian Virologist: COVID Infection is on the Rise

Italian virologist Ilaria Capua confirmed today, Friday, that COVID infection is in a growth phase, emphasizing the importance of exercising caution and following preventive measures. Ilaria stated in an editorial published by the newspaper "Corriere della Sera": "Infection can occur on a train or plane or in other crowded enclosed spaces, and we need to carry preventive methods with us so that we don't blame ourselves later… We are in a phase of virus infection growth and it’s important to be cautious and conduct tests." She added: "I don't want to convince anyone that we need to start wearing protective masks again, but we should always carry them with us, as we may encounter uncomfortable situations when sitting next to people who are coughing or showing symptoms of respiratory illnesses."
