Hamas and the Popular Front: Israel Must End Aggression Before Any Hostage Agreement

Hamas announced in a statement today, Monday, that it and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine insist that Israel must stop its attack on Gaza and withdraw its forces from the region before any agreement on exchanging hostages and prisoners is reached. The Popular Front is the second main faction in the Palestine Liberation Organization after Fatah, to which Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas belongs. The Front joined the fight against Israel following the attack on October 7.
