Team (B), participating solely for experience and preparation for the World Cup, achieved a significant win against the Algerian team with a score of 82-55. The quarter results were all in favor of the hosts: 19-9, 20-19, 18-13, and 25-14. Despite the sizable loss, Algerian player Nasreen Tayba recorded the highest score with 18 points.
In the second match, a similar scene unfolded as team (A) defeated the Kuwaiti team with a score of 116-30. The quarter results favored the Egyptian team as well: 27-5, 31-6, 33-13, and 25-6, with Egyptian player Maral Ashraf achieving the highest score of 15 points.
In the second round today, Tuesday, the teams of Kuwait and Algeria will meet at 4 PM local time, followed by Morocco versus Egypt (A) at 6:30 PM.
