Erdogan Invites Musk to Open Tesla Factory in Turkey

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has invited Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, to open a factory for his company in Turkey, according to a report by the Anadolu Agency on the "X" platform. The invitation was extended during a meeting at the Turkish House, a skyscraper near the United Nations headquarters in New York. Musk is expected to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in California today, Monday. Musk stated on the X platform that their discussions will focus on artificial intelligence technology. Erdogan is in the United States to attend the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly. There was no comment from Tesla or the Turkish embassy in Washington. In August, Tesla expressed interest in building a factory in India to produce low-cost electric vehicles. Currently, Tesla has six factories. Musk mentioned in May that the company is likely to choose a location for a new factory by the end of this year.
