In a statement to The New York Times, Musk said, "The trip to Israel is independent – it was not like an apology tour." Musk returned from his trip to Israel earlier this week, where he toured Kibbutz Kfar Aza, which was attacked by Hamas on October 7. He agreed with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's view that Israel has no choice but to eliminate Hamas and expressed his desire to "help Israel disarm and eradicate extremism in Gaza after the conflict."
