Israeli Discontent with Biden: Has Communication with Netanyahu Stopped?

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced today, Sunday, that he has not spoken to U.S. President Joe Biden since the latter's remarks about the Israeli military's response to the Hamas attack being "exaggerated." Referring to the president's statements, Netanyahu also said during an interview aired today on ABC, "I appreciate President Biden's support for Israel since the beginning of the war. I do not know exactly what he meant by that." Netanyahu stated that for every Palestinian civilian killed, there is one Hamas militant killed in Gaza, noting that "a sufficient number of the remaining 132 hostages in Gaza are alive to justify what we are doing." In this context, two White House officials reported that the U.S. president will speak to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu today, Sunday.
