Passengers on a Middle East Airlines flight were surprised when a fellow passenger proposed to his girlfriend shortly after takeoff. The passenger, Mohamed Al-Masri, entered the flight attendants' area and used the aircraft's public address system to address his girlfriend, Abir Murad, who is part of the flight crew, asking her to marry him. He then placed the engagement ring on her finger amidst the visible joy on the faces of the other passengers.
