The case of the Kuwaiti "fashionista," Fatima Al-Moamen, witnessed new developments today, Tuesday, regarding her imprisonment, while the incident continues to dominate discussions on social media. The newspaper "Al-Majlis" reported that the court rejected her release request, setting a hearing date for September 14 to consider the charges against her of manslaughter and running a red light.
Youssef Al-Shtaili Al-Mutairi, one of the injured in the incident, previously announced the success of the surgeries he underwent due to his serious injuries, as he entered the operating room for simultaneous surgery on both his left leg and left hand.
It is noteworthy that last week, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior announced the measures taken in the incident involving the fashionista that captured public attention in recent days.
The ministry stated in its announcement that "the accused has been ordered to be detained for 10 days pending investigation and referred to central prison in preparation for her transfer to the competent court, while the companion of the vehicle driver has been released." It also mentioned that "10 charges have been filed against the suspect, including manslaughter, causing injury, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, exceeding the maximum speed limit, running a red light, reckless driving, driving with an expired insurance, driving without a valid vehicle registration, causing damage to private property, and causing damage to public property."
