North Korea Acknowledges

On Sunday, the Korean Central News Agency reported that North Korea described the failure of its military satellite launch last month as a "severe failure." This comment was made in the context of a report on the eighth expanded meeting of the Central Committee of the ruling Workers' Party of Korea, which was held to determine the "country's diplomatic and defense strategy to deal with the changing international situation." The report stated that orders were issued for personnel to analyze and understand the reasons behind the failure of the satellite launch and to prepare for a new launch in the near future. North Korea pledged to continue developing its nuclear capabilities and strengthening solidarity with other countries that oppose what it calls the "U.S. strategy for world domination."
