Turkey Bombs Kurdish Infrastructure Sites in Syria

Local sources and Syrian state media reported today, Monday, that "Turkey has carried out a wave of airstrikes on electricity and oil infrastructure in northeastern Syria, which is under Kurdish control, leading to the shutdown of several power stations." Hojir Nagar, the media spokesperson for the Kurdish autonomous area, told Reuters: "The Turkish bombardment hit at least 40 sites over the past two days, including power stations, water pumping stations, and oil infrastructure." He added: "At least 10 border towns have lost electricity and water as a result." Syrian state television also reported on the airstrikes that took place today, stating: "A Turkish drone struck the electricity station in Al-Darbasiyah, and the Turkish airstrikes hit an energy transmission station in the main city of Qamishli."
