The "Free Patriotic Movement" announced its rejection of all emotional reactions and the exploitation of the painful incident that occurred in Kahal, aiming to inflame the atmosphere and cause a sedition sought by many both domestically and externally. In a statement issued by the Media and Communication Committee, it was mentioned: "What happened at the Kahal intersection is a warning bell for the imminent danger facing a disintegrating state and a tense society." The statement added that "the state, with its security and judicial apparatus, is responsible for controlling the situation, conducting investigations, revealing the truth, understanding the delays in addressing the consequences of the incident, and prosecuting any perpetrator or negligent party." The movement concluded its statement by emphasizing that "any exploitation of events, whether spontaneous or fabricated, calls on us as Lebanese to hasten to resolve our issues solely through constructive and purposeful dialogue, as any sedition is a form of collective suicide that the movement will work with the wise to prevent."
