Major General Abbas Ibrahim commented via his social media page on U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken's visit to the region, which, according to the U.S. State Department, aims to prevent escalation in Lebanon. He noted Blinken's intention to visit several countries while excluding Lebanon, saying: "Welcome to the region if the purpose of the visit is merely tourism. However, if the goal is to prevent escalation, your first stop should be Beirut, just like former Secretary of State Warren Christopher did in 1996. It's time to be on both sides of the front."
