The late Queen of Britain, Elizabeth II, wrote a secret message to the citizens of Sydney, Australia, and it has been hidden inside one of the city's most famous buildings, but it will not be read until 63 years later. The British newspaper "Daily Mail" reported that the Queen Victoria Building in Sydney's central business district contains a secret message from Elizabeth II, adding that "there are strict instructions not to open it until 2085." The queen composed the message after major restoration work on the building in November 1986, and even her personal staff does not know what she wrote. The message was placed in a frame inside a glass case, and only the queen’s instructions are visible. The instructions read: "To the Mayor of Sydney, Australia... Please open this envelope on a suitable day of your choosing in 2085, and convey my message to the citizens of Sydney."
