Popular Front: An Israeli Soldier Killed in an Israeli Airstrike

On Saturday, the Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, the military wing of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, announced that an Israeli soldier held by the group in Gaza was killed in an Israeli airstrike, which also injured several of his captors. A spokesperson for the brigades stated in an audio message broadcast by Al Arabiya that the airstrike occurred after a "failed attempt" by an Israeli special force to rescue the soldier. The spokesperson did not provide details about when the soldier was captured or where he was being held in Gaza, stating that the "brigades" still retain his body.
