Hikma lost their first match in the "Wasl" West Asia club championship against the Iranian team Gorgan, who secured the opening game of the tournament by a margin of 12 points, 86-74, with quarters of (25-14, 43-28, 68-52). The match took place at the Antoine Choueiry Hall in the Ghazir Club. The Iranian team appeared vastly different from the team that lost to Club Sportif in the West Asia finals (100-114), retaining only two players from last season. They showcased greater strength, especially under the basket, with the presence of Arsalan Kazemi and Nourville Bell.
