White House on Al-Shifa Hospital Raid: We Reject Bombing Hospitals

In response to the Israeli army's raid on the Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City in the northern sector, the United States expressed its rejection of bombing hospitals. A spokesperson for the U.S. National Security Council stated in a brief statement on Wednesday: "Hospitals and patients must be protected." He added, "We do not support airstrikes on hospitals, nor do we want to see a gunfight occurring inside a hospital that has innocent people, helpless individuals, and patients seeking the healthcare they deserve, finding themselves caught in the line of fire." He reiterated, "Hospitals and patients must be protected." However, he declined to delve into the details of the Israeli operations, stating, "We will not comment in detail on the ongoing Israeli military operation."
