Earthquake Between Mosul and Duhok in Iraq

The Earthquake Department in the Meteorological and Seismology Directorate in Duhok announced today, Friday, that an earthquake felt by residents occurred between the provinces of Duhok and Mosul. Hamid Hasan, the head of the Earthquake Department in the Meteorological and Seismology Directorate in Duhok, stated: "The earthquake measured 2.2 degrees on the Richter scale, striking the area between Duhok and Mosul, near the Mosul Dam at 07:10 PM, with a depth of 24 kilometers." He added, "Residents of the Simel district felt the earthquake."
