The Spanish Civil Guard announced the arrest of two Brazilian brothers in the city of Estepona in the south of the country, suspected of links to the ISIS organization. The police added that the brothers had adopted and promoted extremist ideology online. The Civil Guard stated in a statement on Monday that it had noticed "significant international connections" between the brothers and individuals who have been arrested or are under investigation in European countries concerning what it described as a "jihadist threat." The Civil Guard indicated that it received assistance from the FBI and Brazilian police. The names of the brothers have not been disclosed, but they appeared before a judge and are now in custody while the investigation continues.
