An Indian government source indicated today, Wednesday, that "India is engaging in diplomatic talks with Iran regarding the attacks carried out by the Iran-aligned Houthi movement on ships in the Red Sea." In a separate note, the source, who requested anonymity, stated that "the Indian banking sector will facilitate credit for exporters affected by the disruption of navigation in the Red Sea." The Indian Foreign Minister visited Tehran this week for talks with his Iranian counterpart and stated on Monday that "the discussions addressed the situation in the Red Sea and the attacks that led to disruptions in the international maritime corridor."
