The study included a sample of 3,200 individuals in the UK, all over the age of 50, who were not experiencing declines in muscle due to aging. The results showed that those with vitamin "D" levels lower than 30 nanomoles per liter of blood were 70% more likely to lose muscle mass. The normal level of vitamin "D" in the human body is 50 nanomoles per liter of blood, yet many neglect this important element, considering it a mere "excess privilege."
Health experts recommend obtaining vitamin "D" by spending time outdoors and exposing oneself to sunlight rather than remaining indoors all the time.
