Israeli authorities announced that armed individuals killed a Jewish settler in the occupied West Bank today, Tuesday. The "Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades," affiliated with the Fatah movement led by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, claimed responsibility for the attack. Yossi Dagan, the leader of the Harmesh settlement, stated in a press release that a resident of the settlement, located about six kilometers from the West Bank border with Israel, was shot while driving his car nearby. Medical officials described the settler as a civilian in his thirties. The hospital that received him announced his death. The Israeli Ministry of Defense stated that searches are ongoing for the assailants. The "Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades" said they carried out the attack in retaliation for Palestinians killed by Israel. The brigades stated, "This operation and others will not be the sufficient response to our martyrs so far; our pain is greater, and our revenge will match the pain of separation and the sorrowful tears of Um Hamza, Um Samer, and Um Al-Amir. Soon, God willing, we will fulfill your mandates and honor our commitments to you, our free mothers."
