The German Ministry of the Interior announced today, Tuesday, that the government "is working to establish migration agreements with at least 6 countries to facilitate the deportation of illegal migrants." The ministry mentioned the names of these countries: "Georgia, Moldova, Kenya, Colombia, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan," stating that "the agreements will simplify the procedures for returning asylum seekers, who have been denied such status in Germany, to their home countries." In recent weeks, Germany has been actively discussing the possibility of reducing migration flows, with German Interior Minister Nancy Faeser stating last week that "Germany is enhancing border controls with Poland and the Czech Republic to combat the smuggling of migrants into its territory."
