Death of WHO Employee and Her Child in Gaza

The Director General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Ghebreyesus, announced on Tuesday that "an employee of the organization was killed in Gaza along with her six-month-old baby, her husband, and her two brothers." He expressed on the social media platform X, along with a photo of the deceased, identified as Dima Alhaj: "My colleagues and I are devastated: we have lost one of our own in Gaza today." He added, "It has been reported that many other family members who were sheltering in the same house were also killed," but did not provide further details regarding the circumstances of the family's deaths or who was responsible.
