The Secretary-General of the "Popular Nasserist Organization," MP Osama Saad, accompanied by the director of his office, Talal Arqadan, visited the displaced persons from Ain al-Hilweh camp and the rebuilding area in the Musalli Mosque in the reconstruction area and in the Sidon Municipality building. He was informed by the residents about their conditions. Saad expressed regret over the "significant increase in the number of displaced persons from the camp," voicing his concern about "the potential for an internal explosion in the camp aimed at displacing its residents, undermining the long-standing struggle of the Palestinian people for their right to return to Palestine, threatening the security of Sidon, and exerting pressure on and threatening Lebanese national security." Additionally, Saad had met in his office in Sidon with Shakib Al-Aina, a leader in the "Islamic Jihad Movement," where the events in the camp were the focus of their discussion. He also conducted a series of communications with Palestinian leaders to work towards a ceasefire. Saad held "some Lebanese officials responsible for the potential outcomes of the tragic events in Ain al-Hilweh due to the generous promises they make to those involved in the events of the camp."
