The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates expressed its support for South Africa and its government, as well as their efforts to bring a case against Israel before the International Court of Justice in The Hague, accusing it of committing genocide, which constitutes a blatant violation of the 1948 Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide. The ministry also expressed its hope for a fair and prompt ruling that reflects respect for values and human rights, particularly international humanitarian law, and thanked South Africa for taking this principled position and for all its efforts.
