Minister of Youth and Sports George Kallas received, in his office, MP Fadi Alama, President of the Lebanese Football Federation Hashim Haidar, President of Al-Borj Club Fadi Nasser, and Mayor of Borj Al-Barajneh Atef Mansour, in the presence of the Head of the Public Relations Department at the ministry Hassan Sharara, Minister's Office Director Hussein Omar, and Minister's Advisor Raji Lebki.
Minister Kallas listened to an extensive explanation from his guests regarding the events that followed the match between Al-Borj and Racing on Sunday afternoon at President Fouad Chehab Stadium in Jounieh, as part of the Lebanese Football Championship. He promised to follow up on the matter with the relevant parties, especially the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities, to ascertain the truth of what occurred, address it, and implement the necessary measures to prevent recurrence.
Kallas also contacted the Mayor of Jounieh, Joan Habesh, who expressed full positivity and cooperation to serve the sports movement and its federations and clubs.
