Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Elias Bousab received the Belgian Ambassador to Lebanon, Koen Vervaeke, in his office at the parliament today. The discussion focused on the latest developments regarding the war in Gaza, where the Belgian ambassador encouraged "keeping Lebanon as far away as possible from this war," according to a statement from Bousab's office. For his part, Bousab emphasized that "no one in Lebanon wants war," calling for a position from the European Union to condemn the daily massacres against civilians, including children, women, and men in Gaza, and for a genuine effort to stop these crimes through an immediate ceasefire, the passage of all humanitarian aid, and an urgent move towards political solutions, as these will be the only solution today or at any time in the future. Bousab also stressed the necessity of stopping the bloodshed in front of the international community.
