Former Prime Minister Fouad Seniora emphasized in an interview with "Nidaa Al-Watan" that "Lebanese people, given the events happening in the region, need to focus on uniting their internal ranks based on the principles that Lebanon was founded upon, specifically the Taif Agreement, upholding the constitution, and striving to restore state authority over all Lebanese territories." He highlighted the importance of uniting Lebanese around fundamental issues that have no disagreement, including support for "the Palestinian cause." He stated: "We cannot allow Lebanon to enter into military conflict, particularly as the political, economic, and social conditions it is experiencing, along with the worsening issue of displaced persons, prevent any involvement of Lebanon in military operations." Seniora noted that Lebanon could play a proactive role in supporting "the Palestinian cause" politically, diplomatically, and through media. He went on to borrow a well-known saying to describe the current problem, stating: "He who hovers around the fever is about to fall into it." This has prompted him to urge those concerned to "be cautious and avoid slipping into military conflict against our will and the positions opposing Lebanon's involvement in it."
