Eight Dead in Coal Mine Accident in China

The administration of Pingdingshan city in China announced today, Saturday, that eight people have died and another eight are considered missing due to an accident at a coal mine in Henan province. The administration stated in a release that "by 1:00 PM on January 13, eight people had been confirmed dead as a result of an accident at the Pingdingshan Tianan Coal Mining company mine, while another eight people remain missing." It was noted that all other miners managed to exit safely, and the search operation is ongoing.
